In Damas, Macron was stopped near the city center was attacked by a group of people

On July 25, two powerful explosions occurred in succession in the Syrian capital of Damascus, reported by Zamin.uz.
The incident attracted public attention as it took place near a well-known hotel where French President Emmanuel Macron was temporarily staying. According to preliminary reports, four people were killed in the blasts, and eighteen civilians were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.
The delegation accompanying the French leader had left the hotel premises just a few minutes before the incident. Security officials stated that the explosive devices were placed in two different locations.
One was installed in a trash bin near the hotel, while the other was hidden inside a vehicle parked on the roadside. So far, no official information has been released regarding who organized this attack or what the main objective behind it was.
Nevertheless, law enforcement and emergency medical personnel continue their work at the scene. The French side stated that no explosion sounds were heard during the movement of the presidential convoy, as they commented on the incident.
At the same time, Emmanuel Macron was at the presidential palace holding talks with the Syrian leadership. This visit is of significant political importance, as Macron is the first French leader to visit Syria in the past fifteen years and the first high-ranking European official to visit the country following the political changes of 2024.
The timing of these explosions in Damascus, coinciding with the French president’s historic visit, has raised many questions. Experts are currently investigating whether the attack was a random act or a premeditated provocation targeting the visit of a high-profile guest.
Security measures in the capital have been intensified, and the situation is under full control.
