Ukraine is preparing to conduct flight tests of its new ballistic missile

Denis Stillerman, chief designer of Ukraine's Fire Point company, reported that the development of a new ballistic missile in the country has reached a critical stage. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the specialist developing the missile, named Flamingo, only one major task remains before flight tests can begin: testing the engine in practical conditions. Once this process is complete, the device's ability to lift into the air will be fully verified.
Stillerman paused in his interview to note on readiness, emphasizing that in the next stage, the missile's control system and stability during flight will be tested. Additionally, specialists will monitor how accurately the missile executes predefined algorithmic commands.
If the device maintains stability in the air and moves according to given instructions, the project will proceed to more complex components. At the same time, comments by a company representative regarding the areas where missile tests will be conducted attracted significant attention.
According to him, new missiles are planned to be tested directly on targets in Russian territory during the autumn of this year. Potential targets include Moscow and military factories in allied states.
Such statements naturally intensify discussions surrounding Ukraine's missile program. The Flamingo project, being implemented by Fire Point, is currently generating significant interest in military-political circles.
If the timelines and plans stated by the chief designer prove accurate, noticeable changes in the regional military balance could occur in the coming months. This, in turn, could prompt a complete reassessment of approaches to security and defense systems in regions where armed conflicts are ongoing.
