Trump: "This is Zelensky's worst statement"
Former US President Donald Trump sharply reacted to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's remarks about a peace agreement with Russia. He called Zelensky's statement that the end of the war is "still very, very far away" the "worst statement" made by the Ukrainian leader.

In a post on the Truth Social social network, Trump emphasized that such remarks could negatively impact the US support for Ukraine. In his view, Zelensky has been prolonging the peace process while American aid is available. Trump also noted that European leaders acknowledged in a meeting with Zelensky that there is no possibility of ending the war without the US.

In his post, Trump referenced an Associated Press article titled "Zelensky announced that the end of the war with Russia is 'still very, very far away'" dated March 3. The article mentioned that Zelensky expressed his intention to continue relations with the US. "I believe our relationship with the US will continue because it is more than just a casual relationship," Zelensky said.

Additionally, on February 28, Zelensky met with Donald Trump and his vice president, Jay DeVance, at the White House. The negotiations ended in controversy, and Zelensky left the meeting early at Trump's request. It was noted that no agreement on the extraction of rare metals between Ukraine and the US was signed.

Following these events, Zelensky traveled to London to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. He then participated in a summit where the issue of supporting Ukraine was discussed with European leaders. At the end of the summit, Starmer announced that work is underway on a plan to cease fire with Ukraine, and this plan will later be presented to the US.

As the issue of ending the war in Ukraine remains one of the most important topics in global politics, the impact of the controversial statements by Zelensky and Trump on international relations remains uncertain. The upcoming steps of the US and the positions of European countries will be crucial in this matter.
