The Japanese government plans to attract more labor migrants from Uzbekistan, India, Sri Lanka, and other South and Central Asian countries. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by Kursiv.media. The main reason for this is related to the decreasing number of workers coming from Southeast Asian countries, particularly Vietnam and China.
In this regard, the Japanese company Onodera User Run signed a cooperation agreement with the Uzbekistan Labor Migration Agency. This company will teach the Japanese language to Uzbek youth and assist those who successfully pass the exam in finding jobs in Japan.
Every year, approximately 200 people are trained to work in the restaurant and elderly care sectors. Additionally, three Japanese language learning centers have been established in Uzbekistan for those wishing to work in Japan.
These centers were opened by a company that assists Japanese students and foreign workers. Currently, only 346 Uzbek workers are active in Japan.
As a result of the decrease in the workforce from China and Vietnam, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find the necessary specialists in Japan. At the same time, South Korea and Taiwan are also competing strongly to attract foreign workers, as wages are also rising there.
This situation is prompting Japan to seek new ways to address its labor force issues
