Global Firepower announced the new military rankings of the world's countries

The analytical platform Global Firepower has published its latest annual ranking evaluating the military potential of world countries. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This platform has been analyzing the defense capabilities of states since 2006, and 145 countries were considered in this report. The military power of each country is assessed based on more than sixty different factors, including the number of military equipment, personnel readiness, defense budget, logistics capabilities, and geographic location.
As a result, a special military power index is assigned to each state. The lower this index score, the higher the military potential of the country is considered to be.
The top positions of the ranking are traditionally held by the world's major powers. Specifically, the United States of America is ranked first, followed by Russia, China, India, and South Korea.
These countries are considered world leaders in the supply of military equipment and resources. The end of the list includes countries such as Liberia, Suriname, the Central African Republic, Belize, and Bhutan.
In the Central Asian region, Uzbekistan solidified its position, occupying 53rd place in the overall ranking. Among neighboring countries, Kazakhstan is ranked 58th, Turkmenistan 78th, Tajikistan 100th, and Kyrgyzstan 109th.
Global military expenditures are increasing, with annual spending exceeding $2.6 trillion. Israel leads in per capita defense spending.
In our region, Kazakhstan allocates $288 per citizen, Turkmenistan $254, and Uzbekistan $170. According to experts, such expenditures are closely linked not only to economic capabilities but also to regional security and the geopolitical situation.
In areas with high levels of risk, states are compelled to focus more on the defense sector.
