The quality rating of cars sold in China in 2024 has been announced. In this rating, the quality of the cars was evaluated based on the number of various defects and failures. Each brand was assigned penalty points, with cars that accumulated fewer points being considered more reliable and of higher quality.
The first place in the rating was taken by the premium brand Voyah, belonging to the Dongfeng state corporation. Cars of this brand accumulated 153 penalty points with the least defects and failures.
The second place also belonged to Dongfeng Honda cars, in collaboration with the Dongfeng corporation — 156 points. In third place is the globally renowned Volvo brand, which scored 157 points.
The fourth place in the list was taken by the GAC Hyptec car with 158 points, while the fifth place was awarded to the Wey premium brand of the Great Wall corporation (160 points).
Other quality brands that made it into the top-10 rating include GAC Trumpchi (161 points), GAC Aion (162 points), Jetta (163 points), Changan Nevo (167 points), and YangWang (170 points).
Interestingly, BYD, the most popular brand in China and a main competitor of Tesla, only ranked 26th, accumulating 191 points.
Well-known brands that are also recognized in Uzbekistan — Chery, Haval, Geely, and Changan — ranked much lower in the rating. For example, Chery ranked 51st (224 points), Haval 42nd (210 points), Geely 27th (192 points), and Changan 30th (194 points).
