An innovative Situational Monitoring Center equipped with advanced artificial intelligence technologies has started its operations in Tashkent city. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The main goal of the center is to fundamentally improve road traffic conditions by analyzing and managing transport flows in the capital. This will significantly reduce traffic congestion and enhance road safety.
The center performs tasks related to the digitization of road traffic safety, prevention of road traffic accidents, and forecasting of traffic jams. It was established in the updated administrative building of the road patrol service of the Tashkent city Department of Internal Affairs.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan provided information about this. The center is based on an intelligent transport platform that allows for real-time monitoring, analysis, and effective management of transport flows.
According to representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the implementation of this system will reduce traffic congestion by 50%, shorten the time passengers spend on the road, decrease the number of accidents, increase the response speed of emergency services, and improve decision-making efficiency based on accurate statistics. Additionally, 40 new Cobalt vehicles equipped for a unified system of operation for road patrol and patrol post services have been delivered.
These vehicles are equipped with cameras that are directly connected to the center, transmitting information about wanted individuals, stolen vehicles, and other situations that pose a threat to public safety. The center has the capability to remotely control all cameras in the service vehicles.
