Thailand is becoming an increasingly attractive travel destination for citizens of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In the first five months of 2025, more than 16,600 Uzbek tourists visited this kingdom in Southeast Asia. This was stated in an official report published by the State Statistics Committee on July 28.
For comparison, the number of travelers has doubled compared to the same period in 2024, increasing by 9,200 people. The growth is 2.3 times, indicating that our compatriots' travel preferences are changing.
The purposes of visiting Thailand also yield interesting results. The number of visitors for tourism purposes is 14,701, confirming that this country is the most popular destination for vacations.
The number of those who traveled to visit family members or friends is 1,761. Other purposes are less common.
For example, those who went on business trips numbered 60, while 25 came for medical services, and only 8 Uzbeks traveled for education or to participate in educational programs. These figures indicate that recreational tourism is the main growth factor.
Additionally, the visa-free entry procedure for Uzbekistan citizens to Thailand for 30 days significantly influences the increase in tourist flow. This convenience contributes to making travel even more popular.
