
Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Elmira Ahmedova, a member of the Uzbekistan Academy of Arts, the Pushkin medal. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The TASS news agency reported this. The award ceremony took place on November 4 at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow.
At this event, individuals active in the fields of culture and art were honored not only in Russia but also in other countries. Among the awardees were representatives from Italy, Vietnam, Germany, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and CIS countries.
The Pushkin medal was established in Russia on May 9, 1999. This award is given for contributions to the development of culture and art, as well as for services by foreign citizens in strengthening cultural ties with Russia and supporting Russian culture.
Elmira Ahmedova was deemed worthy of this award due to her creative achievements and activities in the field of culture.
