
On May 7, a terrible fire broke out at a gas station located in the Kattaqorgon district of Samarkand region. This was officially announced by the Committee for Industry, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety.
The incident was recorded in the yard of AYOQSH located in the Qushtepa neighborhood at approximately 15:06. A spark occurred while diesel was being poured into a "ZIL" brand truck from one of the two 10 cubic meter fuel storage tanks. The unexpected fire spread rapidly with intensity.
According to initial reports, two citizens lost their lives as a result of this disaster. Another person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and is currently under medical supervision.
Relevant agencies, firefighters, and law enforcement officials worked at the scene. It is reported that the fuel storage tanks, technical equipment, and some vehicles were damaged.
Currently, investigations have begun regarding the exact causes of the fire and the responsible individuals.
