In the first three months of 2025, the number of Uzbek citizens traveling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for tourism purposes significantly increased. According to the National Statistics Committee, 44,800 Uzbeks visited the UAE in January-March of this year.
This figure shows an increase of 6,300 people or 16.2 percent compared to the same period last year. This indicates that the Emirates is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination for Uzbeks.
The reasons for Uzbek tourists traveling to the UAE vary, with the majority, namely 39,172 individuals, traveling for leisure and relaxation. Additionally, 5,024 citizens visited to see their relatives, while 363 people traveled for business purposes.
At the same time, the number of Uzbeks who traveled to the UAE for medical treatment was 167, and the number of students who went for education was 70.
Experts believe that the UAE's quality service system, convenient and modern infrastructure, as well as the expansion of air connections with Uzbekistan have positively influenced the increase in tourist flows.
Analysts emphasize that if this trend continues, the number of Uzbek tourists visiting the UAE may further increase in the coming years. It is also noted that there are great opportunities for further development of tourism cooperation between the two countries.
