Cases of embezzlement of financial resources have been widely identified in organizations managing multi-apartment buildings in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Since the beginning of the year, it has been noted that mandatory payments have been stolen in 83 such organizations, with the embezzled amount approaching 26 billion soums. All documents related to these cases have been submitted to law enforcement agencies.
Ozoda Juraeva, the Deputy Minister of Construction and Communal Services, stated that during the past six months, the activities of 417 managing organizations have been monitored. As a result of the inspection, cases of embezzlement of mandatory payment funds were identified in 83 organizations, resulting in a total loss of 25.9 billion soums.
In addition, 158 managing organizations have been subjected to administrative fines, with a total of 587 million soums collected in penalties. The remaining managing organizations have been given mandatory instructions to eliminate the identified shortcomings.
The Deputy Minister also emphasized that the method of holding responsible persons in managing organizations accountable has changed. Previously, they were held administratively accountable once a year, but now separate measures are taken for each identified violation.
These changes are aimed at strengthening control and increasing discipline in the management sector, which will help prevent illegal practices in the future and ensure transparent use of public funds.
