Aleksandr Dyukov, president of the Russian Football Federation, commented on the situation of former Spartak striker Quincy Promes. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Recently, the Dutch player was extradited to his homeland. There, he had previously been sentenced to prison twice – for one and a half years and six years.
Promes has filed an appeal, so the case is still under consideration. According to Dyukov, from a human perspective, one can feel pity for him.
It seems that the case is leading to punishment, he said. However, Dyukov emphasized that it is difficult to assess the situation accurately as he is not familiar with the case materials.
It should also be noted that Quincy Promes's contract with Spartak expired more than a year ago. The player was unable to return to Russia with the team after training camps in the UAE.
The current situation is being monitored.
