Kononov: Motivation is high after the torpedo is withdrawn from participation
Oleg Kononov, the head coach of the "Torpedo" team, commented on the team's motivation after the Moscow club was excluded from the participants of the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The specialist emphasized in an interview with "Match TV" that his players are in high spirits during training. He also mentioned that the "black-and-white" team is not upset about not participating in elite league matches anymore.
It should be noted that the Moscow club was excluded from the championship participants for the 2025/26 season by the decision of the Executive Committee of the Russian Football Federation. The "Torpedo" team was punished for attempting to organize fixed matches in the previous season of the first league.
As a result, the team was deprived of the right to participate in high-level competitions. Kononov and his team are striving to overcome these issues in the future and become even stronger.
