Central defender Mamadu Sarr is returning to the Strasbourg team from Chelsea. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
At the beginning of June, the English club purchased the 19-year-old footballer from Strasbourg for 14 million euros. According to internal sources, the French club has now reached an agreement to loan the player.
Head coach Liam Rosenior considers the young French player an important figure for the project. Mamadu Sarr played in one match for Chelsea.
Enzo Mareska brought him on as a substitute in the match against Tunisia's Esperance during the group stage of the World Club Championship. Chelsea won that tournament.
The contract between Sarr and the London club is set until 2033. The player's return will further strengthen Strasbourg's defense line.
At the same time, the aim is to develop the young player and provide him with more opportunities on the field. Chelsea hopes to see him back in their squad in the future.
