It was stated that racism is unacceptable in any form, whether on or off the field. The England national team expressed that the traditional gesture of kneeling does not adequately represent the issue in society and indicated its intention to seek new methods in the fight against discrimination.

The England and Italy national teams will meet on July 22 in the semi-finals. It is worth noting that 27-year-old Jessica Carter is the 2022 European Champion and a silver medalist at the 2023 World Championship, and she has reported facing racist attacks on social media during the ongoing tournament in Switzerland.
