Arsenal's head coach Mikel Arteta commented on the situation surrounding former midfielder Thomas Partey. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Crown Prosecution Service of Great Britain has charged Thomas Partey with five counts of rape that occurred between 2021 and 2022. Previously, the club's management decided not to provide detailed comments on the matter due to legal sensitivities.
Arteta emphasized that the club is strictly adhering to all necessary procedures and expressed confidence that the management's actions are correct. At the same time, he stated that he is not entitled to discuss the details of the ongoing events.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Arteta made it clear that the club has clearly expressed its position and that this is a complex legal matter, which is why he cannot comment on it. He expressed satisfaction that the club is fully complying with all requirements, emphasizing that there is no doubt about it.
According to British media reports, the court proceedings are expected to begin on August 5, 2025, at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
