Pakistan has launched a large-scale military operation against the Taliban movement in Afghanistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the BBC, Pakistani military forces carried out airstrikes at night in the cities of Kabul and Kandahar. It was reported that these attacks took place on the night of February 27.
According to information provided by Pakistan's Prime Minister's press secretary Mosharraf Zaidi, during the operation, 27 Taliban military posts were destroyed and nine posts were captured. Additionally, more than 80 tanks, artillery weapons, and armored vehicles were destroyed, causing significant damage.
Zaidi noted that as a result of this operation, 133 Taliban members were killed and over 200 militants were wounded. According to him, Pakistan continues to respond quickly and effectively to the aggressions.
Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif announced that an "open war" has been declared against the Taliban movement. According to the minister, Pakistan tried to resolve the issue diplomatically, but the situation escalated and relations have entered the stage of open war.
