The "Ahmat" football club of Grozny is on the verge of completing the transfer of central defender Mehdi Zare from Iran's "Gol Gohar" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to a reliable source from Sport24, a contract with the 22-year-old player has already been agreed upon, and he will arrive in Russia soon to undergo a medical examination before joining the Grozny club. Zare's current contract with the Iranian team is set to last until the summer of 2027.
The Transfermarkt portal estimates his market value at 900 thousand euros. Last season, the defender played a total of 25 matches across all competitions but was unable to score or provide an assist.
It is worth noting that in the first round of the new season of the Russian Premier League, "Ahmat" lost 0:2 at home to the "Rubin" team. This transfer is being viewed as an important step aimed at strengthening the club's defense.
