CSKA midfielder Mateus Alves will not be able to join the upcoming Brazil youth national team camp. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The club's communications director Kirill Breydo announced on his Telegram page that this decision is related to the camp being held outside the official FIFA calendar. The Russian championship has already started, and the capital team's coaches plan to use Alves in the upcoming matches.
CSKA management emphasized that they highly respect players being called up to national teams and are proud of Alves' invitation. At the same time, the most important task for both the club and the player right now is to quickly adapt to the new team and help fulfill the current objectives in the championship.
It is worth noting that the 20-year-old midfielder transferred from the "São Paulo" club to the Moscow team on July 10 and signed a five-year contract.
