"Manchester City" team intends to sign a new player with the aim of replacing their main goalkeeper. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Due to the possibility of captain Ederson leaving the team soon, a replacement goalkeeper is being sought. The "Citizens" have previously been linked with Diogo Costa from the "Porto" club.
According to Fichajes portal, the allocated 60 million euros for Costa's transfer may not be sufficient. This amount could serve as a basis for negotiations to begin, but for an agreement to be reached, "Manchester City" will need to offer more funds.
Costa is currently 25 years old, and his contract with "Porto" is valid until mid-2027. He has played 36 matches for the Portugal national team and has conceded 28 goals in those games.
The club's leaders are planning to add this player to their ranks, considering his experience and potential.
