Zenit will make a decision regarding Vendel's transfer

Zenit team is still ready to sell 27-year-old midfielder Vendel to one of the South American clubs. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

At the same time, this week they are preparing to register the player for participation in the Russian championship and the country’s cup. Vendel continues to train with the main team and took the field against Zenit-2 in a friendly match held on July 21 under the guidance of Sergey Semak.

Sport-Express confirmed this information. Earlier, media reports had circulated that the player had refused to transfer to Al-Ittihad club.

Al-Ittihad had offered 30 million euros for his transfer. Additionally, it became known that in May, Botafogo club canceled the agreement to purchase Vendel.

Thus, the player is currently staying with the team and is trying to maintain his position in the future. Zenit management is acting cautiously in making decisions regarding the player's future.
