Football expert Nikolay Naumov assessed the prospects of Anton Zabolotniy, the new player of the "Spartak" club, in the current season of the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that the forward, who joined the Moscow team as a free agent in the summer, is unlikely to receive much playing time. According to Naumov, Zabolotniy will not have a permanent place in the starting lineup and will mostly come on as a substitute.
Therefore, it seems difficult for him to provide significant help to the team. The expert also mentioned that the forward's main task on the field is to hold the ball during high passes.
Previously, Zabolotniy played for the "Khimki" club near Moscow, but this team ceased operations in the summer. Last season, the 34-year-old player appeared in 31 matches, scoring 6 goals and providing 6 assists.
Additionally, his career includes two seasons at the "Zenit" club and three seasons at CSKA. Overall, the player's experience is considerable, but it is clear that he needs to fight for a starting position in his current team.
