Shamil Gazizov, the general director of the "Dinamo" team in Makhachkala, expressed his opinion about the limit imposed on the number of legionnaires. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Gazizov, he does not support the limit. He emphasized that the current limit is relatively acceptable, but the team needs new talented players.
This will help maintain the level of the championship and assist in the faster development of local players. Currently, clubs in the Russian Premier League can register 13 legionnaires in a season, but only a maximum of 8 can play on the field at the same time.
Earlier, information had circulated that the Russian Ministry of Sports planned to tighten the limit on the number of legionnaires starting from the next season. These changes are expected to be implemented to improve the quality of football in the country and create more opportunities for local players.
Thus, Gazizov has a negative attitude towards the new draft law, but emphasizes the necessity of supporting new laws for the development of football.
