The Paris "PSG" club and goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma are continuing negotiations for a new contract. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The current employment contract of the Italian footballer will expire in the middle of next year. Although the club plans to extend the contract, they are unable to meet the goalkeeper's salary demands.
According to Calciomercato, "PSG" is offering Donnarumma a base salary of 7 million euros per season and a bonus of 3 million euros. Currently, the player earns 10 million euros per year and is not willing to accept a pay cut.
Gianluigi Donnarumma joined one of France's major clubs in 2021. Last season, the 26-year-old goalkeeper played in 47 matches under the leadership of Luis Enrique and conceded 43 goals.
His addition to the team is helping to strengthen the club's defense line. As a result of the ongoing negotiations, the parties are expected to reach an agreement.
