Igor Akinfeev played his 800th game for CSKA

On Sunday, the CSKA team played a home match against the "Akhmat" team in the second round of the Russian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Although the team led by Fabio Chelestini conceded a goal at the beginning of the match, they ultimately won with determination, 2:1. Interestingly, this match was Igor Akinfeev's 800th game for CSKA.

The Moscow "army men" publication emphasized that this number is an "excellent indicator." In 800 games, Akinfeev has conceded 718 goals, but he has managed to keep a clean sheet in 334 matches.

Currently, 39-year-old Igor Akinfeev's contract with CSKA is set to last until the end of the 2025/2026 season. He also previously played his 500th game for CSKA as captain.

Akinfeev is considered one of the main goalkeepers and leaders of the team.
