Barcelona will sell a player before buying Grimaldo

Barcelona club has not abandoned its plan to bring back left-back Alejandro Grimaldo to the team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Currently, Grimaldo is playing for Bayer in Germany. The player, who was trained by Barcelona, has expressed his intention to play in La Liga several times before.

According to Transfer News Live, the club is interested in buying Grimaldo. However, for this transfer to happen, Barcelona will first need to sell some players from its squad.

The main candidates for departure from the club are reported to be Andreas Christensen, Oriol Romeu, and Inyaki Penya. According to Transfermarkt, the 29-year-old Grimaldo's price is equal to 30 million euros.

His contract with Bayer is valid until the middle of 2027. Therefore, the Barcelona management must resolve issues related to existing players before making a decision on the transfer.

Considering financial constraints, the club is acting cautiously during the transfer window. Grimaldo's return, if it happens, could help strengthen Barcelona's defense line.
