In the Champions League, however, the team led by Hans Dieter Flick reached the semi-finals but missed the opportunity against “Inter.” In his interview, Vermalen emphasized that he continuously follows European football.
He stated that “Barcelona” performed particularly well in the Champions League. The young players in the squad stand out with their talent, and he mentioned that it is interesting to watch their growth.
Thomas Vermalen ended his playing career in 2022. He played for “Barcelona” from 2014 to 2019.
The former player spent a significant part of his career with the Catalonia club.
