The Moscow Spartak football club is negotiating with Turkey's Galatasaray team regarding the purchase of Colombian defender Karlos Kuesta. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Metaratings, the Spartak management shifted its focus to other players after failing to complete the transfer of Saul Koko from the Italian club Torino, resulting in interest in Karlos Kuesta.
Galatasaray is ready to sell their player for 8 million euros. At the same time, Kuesta is expecting a salary increase in Russia.
Currently, he earns 1.45 million euros per year at Galatasaray, but if he signs a contract with the Russian club, he is asking for a salary between 2 million and 2.3 million euros. The 26-year-old Karlos Kuesta moved to Galatasaray during the winter transfer window of 2025.
Prior to this, he played for the Genk team in the Belgian championship. In the last football season, Kuesta played a total of 22 matches and scored one goal.
Negotiations are still ongoing, and the player's future is expected to be clarified in the coming days.
