Former football player Maksim Demenko commented on the news about Jedson Fernandes potentially moving to the "Spartak" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the Portuguese player has now arrived in Moscow, and negotiations regarding the contract are nearing completion. The "Spartak" club will pay 27 million euros to acquire this player.
Demenko considers such large purchases to be risky. In his opinion, despite spending significant amounts, local clubs are not participating in European competitions.
For this reason, the player will need at least five to seven matches to adapt to the team and show effective performance. The complexity of the Russian championship and long travels may pose additional difficulties for the players.
Additionally, Demenko stated that the club management expects head coach Dejan Stankovich to achieve high results this season. Currently, the "Spartak" team is in tenth place in the Russian Premier League standings.
This result has been achieved with one win and one loss. The tasks ahead of the club are complex, but the new player may have a positive impact on the team's performance.
