"Spartak" football club has made the most expensive transfer in its history. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The club paid nearly 20.8 million euros for Portuguese player Jedson Fernandes. This amount does not yet include bonuses.
If all bonuses are fully paid, the total payment amount could increase by 7 million euros. According to Andrey Kanchelskis, it is too early to rush to evaluate the money spent on the Jedson Fernandes transfer.
He believes it is appropriate to analyze whether the transfer justifies itself or not at the end of the season. Currently, the player needs time to adapt, learn the language, and get used to the new environment.
Time will show the results. At the moment, "Spartak" is preparing for an away match against the "Akron" team within the framework of the Russian championship.
The match will take place next Sunday, August 3, in Samara. Club fans and experts will be able to provide a final assessment of the transfer at the end of the season.
