Vakhaniya: It was my dream to debut in the Russian national team

Rostov team defender Ilya Vakhaniya shared his memories about his debut in the Russian national team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, the game in which he first stepped onto the field for the national team was a real celebration for him. Vakhaniya noted that he had come a long way from a Second League team to the Russian national team in just one year.

He called this achievement his dream and expressed his satisfaction with reaching it. The defender has participated in four matches for the Russian national team so far.

In these games, he scored once and provided one assist. In the current season, Vakhaniya has played in three matches in the Russian Premier League and the Russian Cup, but he has not stood out with goals or assists in these matches.

Additionally, the player's labor contract with the Rostov club is valid until the middle of 2028. Vakhaniya emphasized that he has set new goals for himself and is always ready to work hard for his team.
