Former president of the "Spartak" football club Andrey Chervichenko evaluated the team's performance in the match that took place on Sunday in the Russian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The match was held in Samara and ended in a 1:1 draw. At the end of the first half, the "red-whites" were left with one player less after Daniil Khlusevich was sent off.
According to Chervichenko, "Akron" did not deserve to lose in this game. He described "Spartak's" performance in the new season as a "misunderstanding."
In his opinion, there were two players on the field, one valued at 20 million and the other at 27 million. However, there seems to be little difference between them and the "Akron" players.
Chervichenko emphasized that the entire "Akron" team is almost equal in value to one player of "Spartak," yet "Akron" dominated in the game. He expressed surprise that a club with a large budget like "Spartak" could not form a team capable of defeating "Akron."
He stated that although "Akron" is in its second season in the top division, it outperformed "Spartak" in the match.
