According to the footballer, he aimed to prevent the opponent from passing the ball or taking a shot in that situation. Krugovoy stated that at that moment the opposing player fell or came close to him.
As a result, the referee awarded a penalty. Krugovoy emphasized that the final assessment of the situation should be given by specialists, and he would not interfere in this matter.
It is worth noting that Zenit striker Aleksandr Sobolev successfully converted this penalty. The match ended in a 1:1 draw.
In the next round, CSKA will face Rubin. Zenit will take on the Akhmat team.
