On July 3 of this year, Diogo Jota passed away in a traffic accident in Spain. He was involved in a car crash along with his brother Andre Silva.
The car went off the road and immediately caught fire. The footballers had no chance of survival.
After this tragic event, Liverpool FC decided to retire Diogo Jota's number 20 permanently. This number will not be given to any other player.
