The former striker of Moscow's Spartak team, Velliton, compared the level of football in Russia and Brazil. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In his opinion, teams in both countries' championships display similar football, and these competitions are considered competitive. In his interview, Velliton stated, “In my view, the level of football in Russia is much like that in Brazil.
Perhaps adaptation may be more difficult. However, I do not see a significant difference between Russia and Brazil,” he said.
Currently, Velliton is 38 years old. He ended his playing career on January 14, 2023.
The Brazilian footballer played for Spartak for seven years, from 2007 to 2014. During this time, he appeared in 104 matches for the "red-whites" and managed to score 57 goals.
According to Velliton, the championships in Russia and Brazil can serve as a good experience school for players, and the competition in both countries' football is strong. For this reason, he emphasized that there is no significant difference between these two championships.
