Former football player, member of the capital's "Dinamo" team and the Russian national team, Vladimir Granat expressed his opinion regarding the change of head coach at the Grozny team "Akhmat". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Stanislav Cherchesov has been appointed in place of the dismissed Aleksandr Storojuk. Granat stated that Cherchesov could lead the team to results.
In his opinion, if there were no necessary opportunities and support, Cherchesov would not have accepted this position. This means that the club has created the necessary conditions for growth.
Currently, "Akhmat" is in thirteenth place in the Russian Premier League standings. The team has lost in all three matches.
Cherchesov's first game in charge will take place on August 9. In this match, "Akhmat" will host the "Zenit" club at home.
The team hopes to improve its situation under the new coach's leadership.
