Former football player Shamil Lakhiyalov expressed his opinion regarding the appointment of Stanislav Cherchesov as the head coach of the Grozny “Axmat” team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It is known that the 61-year-old specialist took over the management of the team after Aleksandr Storozhuk resigned. According to Shamil Lakhiyalov, the club's management felt the need for a determined coach who could organize the team and deliver results.
He stated that Cherchesov was chosen as a specialist who could meet this requirement. Earlier, it was officially reported that Stanislav Cherchesov signed a three-year labor contract with the “Axmat” club.
After the first three rounds of the Russian championship, the “Axmat” team is in 13th place in the tournament table. In the next round, the team led by Cherchesov will face St. Petersburg's “Zenit” club.
