Famous football journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed on his personal social media that Barcelona defender Inyigo Martines will move to Saudi Arabia's Al-Nasr team in the coming days. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Romano, Martines will terminate his contract with Barcelona and sign a contract with his new club as a free agent. He will sign a contract with Al-Nasr for "one year with an option to extend for another year."
Inyigo Martines is 34 years old and has played as a central defender for Barcelona for the last two years. He began his football career in his hometown of San Sebastián and played for Real Sociedad.
Later, he also represented Athletic Bilbao. Al-Nasr will be Martines' first club abroad.
Until now, he has only played for Spanish teams. Thus, the experienced player has decided to continue his career in a new country.
This transfer is expected to be a significant event for both Martines and Al-Nasr club.
