He stated that although the team could not fully control the transitional phases in the match against Al-Hilal, the players continue to work on themselves. The coach also noted that the team's break was a week longer, which allowed for more focus on training.
He mentioned that he did not want to increase the number of friendly matches, emphasizing that the main focus was on training. The game against Palermo was not played under pressure; it was organized to assess the team's readiness, not for the result.
Guardiola expressed hope that in the new season, especially in the English championship, the team would play more consistently than last year. According to the club's press service, on August 16, Manchester City will take the field against Wolverhampton in the first round of the English championship.
