Former “Spartak” football player Aleksandr Mostovoy expressed his thoughts on Gilyermo Abaskal's desire to return to the "red-white" team as head coach. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In his interview, Mostovoy emphasized that football should not be turned into a circus. According to him, it is necessary not to always rely on people coming from abroad.
In Mostovoy's opinion, Abaskal always talks about this topic, just like other coaches we have forgotten in the past. He also mentioned that Abaskal is currently feeling good in Mexico.
The reason is that “Spartak” has financially secured him for nearly the next decade. For reference, Gilyermo Abaskal managed the “Spartak” team from 2022 to 2024.
He won bronze medals in the Russian championship with the team. Currently, the 36-year-old Spanish coach is working at the Mexican club “Atletico San Luis.”
Abaskal has expressed his readiness to return to “Spartak” again. Mostovoy, however, recommends approaching this matter with caution.
