Frey supported Donnarumma and called him the best goalkeeper

Former "Inter" and "Fiorentina" goalkeeper Sebastian Frey expressed his opinion regarding the exclusion of PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from the lineup for the UEFA Super Cup match. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to Sebastian Frey, this news surprised him, and he decided to convey words of support to Donnarumma. Frey stated that he spoke with Donnarumma, and the player indicated that he was staying calm.

However, Frey did not hide his astonishment at this situation. In his opinion, Donnarumma was invited by PSG to play in the UEFA Champions League and is currently considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

Therefore, he emphasized that the emergence of doubt regarding him is an incomprehensible situation. Earlier, Donnarumma had also expressed his dissatisfaction with the club's decision and stated that he was determined to leave the team.

Although Donnarumma's current contract with PSG is set to last until the end of the 2025-2026 season, the Paris club may sell him as early as now. No agreement has been reached between the club and the player regarding the extension of the contract.

The match between PSG and Tottenham will take place on August 13 in the city of Udine.
