Silkin: Akhmat cannot compete for the top positions

According to Sergey Silkin, the former coach of the "Dinamo" team, the "Akhmat" club, representing the city of Grozny, is not capable of competing for the top spots in the Russian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He believes that the victory over "Zenit" under the new head coach Stanislav Cherchesov was more of an emotional boost for the "Akhmat" team. Such situations often arise when a coach is changed, as players try to prove themselves in front of the new coach.

Silkin stated: "I think Cherchesov cannot compete for top positions with "Akhmat". The victory over "Zenit" is a result of the team's emotional uplift.

This situation often occurs when the coach changes," he emphasized. For reference, in the first game under Cherchesov's leadership, "Akhmat" defeated St. Petersburg's "Zenit" 1-0.

After four rounds, the "Akhmat" team is in 12th place in the tournament table with three points. Therefore, the expert notes that high results should not be expected from the club.
