The head coach of PSG, Luis Enrique, expressed his satisfaction with the decision of Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov to stay at the club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Previously, the management and coaching staff of the Paris team had announced that they did not see Safonov as the main goalkeeper. Nevertheless, Safonov remains committed to his work and continues to play for the club.
In his interview, Luis Enrique emphasized that he was pleased with Safonov's performance, stating that his actions on the field were important for the team. He also highly praised Chevalier's performance and mentioned that the team is striving to become stronger with each player.
The head coach expressed confidence that PSG will advance and achieve good results this season. It is known that Chevalier was brought to PSG from the club "Lille."
This transfer was made due to the non-renewal of the contract with Donnarumma. Chevalier's first official match for the Paris team was held against "Tottenham" in the UEFA Super Cup.
Although Chevalier conceded two goals in the match, PSG won and secured the trophy. Thus, the team is setting high goals with the new players.
