Petrushin: Karpin's departure will not affect Dynamo
Veteran member of the Dinamo team Aleksey Petrushin shared his thoughts in an exclusive interview with the online publication "Evro-Futbol.ru" about the defeat against Krasnodar in the cup match and the team's performance at the start of the season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Dinamo suffered a heavy defeat to Krasnodar in yesterday's cup match. What do you think were the main problems?
– Yesterday, the coach did not field the main lineup; Karpin wanted to test the close reserves. This situation is common among all teams at this stage of the cup.
What is your opinion about the reserves? – Many of these players had left a good impression in previous friendly matches.
However, yesterday they showed themselves poorly. The team's defense did not work at all.
The southern team overwhelmed Moscow's defense. Dinamo made many mistakes from the goalkeeper to the outfield players.
The visitors did not have to force errors with complex combinations. Dinamo scores few goals and creates few chances.
What is the reason? – Krasnodar played well defensively.
Therefore, Dinamo was almost unable to play in attack. Only in the second half did the players become more active, but the visitors tried to maintain the score.
What do you think about the opinion that Karpin's adaptation to Dinamo is taking a long time? – There is another issue here.
It is incorrect to compare Rostov and Dinamo. Rostov was not among the top teams with Karpin; the levels of these two teams differ.
The Russian national team will play many friendly matches in the fall, and Karpin will be constantly involved with the national team. Does this not negatively affect Dinamo?
– Rolon Gusev assists Karpin at the club; at the end of last season, he won three out of four games. He knows the team well.
There are no major problems during training. Karpin leaves the work plan and stays in contact.
If the head coach is left without supervision, won't the team slack off? – That cannot happen.
The coaches stay in contact; Karpin knows who is preparing how. He is always mentally with Dinamo.
Dinamo will play against CSKA in the next round. What do you expect?
– I want to see good football. The current CSKA is one of the strongest teams.
They demonstrate spectacular and effective play. The players are fully prepared and active for the entire 90 minutes.
Glebov leads the attack. It will not be easy for the hosts, but Karpin's team must prove themselves.
