After ending his playing career, he worked on the coaching staffs of Aston Villa and Leicester teams. However, after that, he was unable to achieve significant success in coaching.
Currently, he is working at the Chelsea academy. Terry stated in his words that he has now ended his coaching career.
He emphasized that he is enjoying life and working at the academy. He also noted that he has experience working alongside Dean Smith at Aston Villa.
They succeeded in promoting the team to the top league. Terry worked as an assistant coach at an English Premier League club and also gained experience as a player and captain at Chelsea.
However, he stressed that he was not able to fully demonstrate himself in coaching. Even in lower leagues, he was not given the opportunity.
In interviews, he recalled being told "you have no experience." John Terry believes he possesses the necessary qualities to be a good coach, but unfortunately, this opportunity was not given to him.
He expressed some regret about this situation.
