A semi-automatic offside detection system is being implemented in APL

According to the official announcement by the English Premier League (EPL), a semi-automated offside detection system will be launched starting from Matchday 32. This technology will help assess controversial situations in attack more quickly and accurately.

The EPL aims to reduce contentious offside decisions in matches and enhance the effectiveness of the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) system by implementing this system. Previously, such technology has been successfully used in the UEFA Champions League and the World Cup. This system has also been tested in FA Cup matches.
