Uzbekistan athletes achieve record result at the Asian Championship
Uzbekistan's young athletes achieved a historic result at the Asian Championship, reported Nova24.uz.
The Asian Championship in athletics for athletes under 18 years old took place in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The Uzbekistan national team finished the competition with 3 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals, securing 2nd place overall for the first time.
On the last day of the competition, Uzbek athletes won the following medals:
• Gold medal: Jahongir Jo‘raboyev — decathlon;
• Silver medal: Timur Nasimov — 3000 meters running;
• Bronze medals: Ruslan Sadullayev — javelin throw, Asilbek To‘xtamurodov — 3000 meters running.
It is worth noting that the "President's Olympics" is planned to be organized in Uzbekistan. Valuable prizes such as cars and houses will be awarded to the winners in various sports.
