Uzbek boxers continue their winning streak in Poland: two of our representatives in the semifinals!

The prestigious "World Boxing Cup" is currently taking place in the capital of Poland, Warsaw, and has entered its most intense and critical phase. The members of the Uzbekistan national team participating in this prestigious international tournament are attracting everyone's attention with their high skills and beautiful fights.

In today's matches, two more of our compatriots secured their spots in the semifinals, gaining the opportunity to compete for gold medals.

In the -80 kg weight category, our experienced boxer Javohir Ummataliyev faced Bulgarian representative Villiam Cholov, one of Europe's promising boxers. Throughout the three rounds of this intense and fierce match, Javohir delivered more precise and sharper punches compared to his opponent. As a result, he won by unanimous decision from the judges and advanced to the semifinals.

Additionally, in the -85 kg weight category, another talented athlete, Akmaljon Isroilov, stepped into the ring against one of Turkey's bright representatives, Samet Ersoy. In this match, our representative also demonstrated very high speed and technique. Throughout all rounds, Akmaljon launched active attacks and delivered several times more accurate punches than his opponent. At the end of the match, the judges unanimously confirmed the significant superiority of the Uzbekistan representative and awarded him a spot in the semifinals.

Now, Javohir Ummataliyev and Akmaljon Isroilov will defend the honor of Uzbekistan at even higher levels and will fight for gold medals.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan boxers have already attracted the attention of the global community with their high levels in previous stages of this tournament in Poland. This indicates that our national team has great opportunities ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
