Postekoglu: “We believed and put pressure to break the era without a trophy”
“Tottenham” head coach Ange Postecoglou assessed his team's important victory in the European tournament. In his interview, the coach spoke about the success in the playoffs and ending the long "trophyless" period in the club's history.
“I still need time to comprehend what has happened. However, I know how significant this achievement is for the club. The longer the trophy drought lasts, the harder it becomes to overcome it,” says Postecoglou.

“I have always said that knockout format games are different. In such matches, you need to believe in yourself and act with a clear plan. Today we had confidence. I believed in victory.”
Postecoglou also reflected on his experience in the match against “Manchester United”: “We knew well — if we could apply pressure early, MU would not be as effective in attack. Therefore, our team tried to disrupt their attacks with high pressing, and it worked.”
